PRODUCT CARE

POLISHED BRASS

All Senese products are made from high-quality solid brass and hand crafted in Italy. Unvarnished polished brass ages in a natural process as the metal oxidise, creating a beautiful surface patina. The result is a deep and highly sophisticated golden finish with hints of Verdigris that lends the product the appearance of a vintage object. The ageing of the material will not affect he performance or lifetime of the product. For the customer who prefers the shiny and bright appearance of unvarnished brass the surface can be polished regularly using Sidol or Brasso to remove surface patination.

For daily cleaning wash surface with a soft damp cloth using a mild soap or PH neutral cleanser and soak with water. Refrain from abrasive cleaning methods such as abrasive cleaners, steel wool or scouring sponges as they will alter the surface finish and void warranty.

BESPOKE METAL FINISHES

With the exception of Chrome, which is a stable surface, all bespoke finishes applied to Senese products are unvarnished and considered living and will slightly age, patina, and develop individual appearances as they are exposed to time, environment, and usage. The ageing process advance at different speed depending on the exposure of heat, water and frequency of handling.

For daily cleaning wash surface with a soft damp cloth using a mild soap or PH neutral cleanser and soak with water. Refrain from abrasive cleaning methods such as abrasive cleaners, steel wool or scouring sponges as they will alter the surface finish and void warranty.

SHOWERHEADS

Senese shower heads are not equipped with silicone nozzles designed to prevent limescale and mineral buildup. Instead, it provides a thick and soft rain for an unbeatable shower experience. The shower head should be regularly unscrewed and cleaned using a soft toothbrush brush and mild soap or PH neutral cleanser.

Shower heads fitted with rub-clean silicone nozzles can be ordered upon request without additional cost and are cleaned by gentle rubbing as water is rinsing through the fitting. Since the shower head is permanently exposed to water the ageing process of unvarnished brass is particularly swift and the head will darken and develop beautiful Verdigris. Regularly tilt the showerhead backwards to empty remaining water and clean using Sidol or Brasser to keep luster and shine.

SPOUTS

At the end of each faucet spout, there is a plastic aerator engineered to add volume to the flow of water. For regular maintenance extract this item to remove any seal being created by calcium or particles aggregated from the water supply. Aerators inserted into the spout will require the use of the key supplied in the original packaging for removal. On several the Farfalla range the aerator is held in place by the spout tip that can be unscrewed by hand. Clean the removed aerator under rinsing water to remove any limescale or mineral build up.

MARBLE SURFACES

Clean surface with a non-abrasive, mild soap or PH neutral cleanser. Do not use bleach, abrasive cleaners, ammonia, vinegar, alcohol, window cleaners or lemon juice. In addition, do not use abrasive cleaning pads, steel wool, metal brushes or scouring pads. Over time water can leave behind mineral deposits. When installing drains and fittings on marble countertops only use 100% silicone or marble safe plumber sealers. The use of incorrect sealer will result in stained marble and void the warranty.
